PINEWOOD RACEWAY - ROUND ONE - CONTINUED

Formula One start order was taken from the Sports race finish results. Again racing in the top heat was amazingly close, this time between Richard Mack and Martin Ellis, with just 8 parts between them after a 12 minute race. All the heats showed some very close finishes between racers and the cars proved great fun to race. Allan Callahan was a late arrival for this one and came a credible 6th with very little practice and time to set up his car.

1/24th Falcon Pro Sports saw an absolutely scorching qualifying run from Graeme Stephenson, with local lad Dean a couple of parts behind. The top race was tight from the start with 1st position being held by Graham for the first few segments and then Richard edging into the lead in his “walking on water” style!
All finals provided close, fun racing.
Tech wise , the top 4 ran JK Cheetah 11’s and 5th man home, Nigel ran a Parma 3 piece.
